By conducting an in-depth survey about safety concerns in regards to the metro environment, we found that there are many safety hazards about the waiting areas of the metro system overall in China. Majority of the platform waiting area has many blind spots, safety way finding recognition system prompt does not regulate the use of large part of the warning signs for a long time due to no maintenance, guiding information on the top is covered by dust, so that passengers’ visions are difficult to perceive information correctly, there are potential threats for people who travel by subway. The interior way finding and safety stickers sometimes been torn and painted, and this phenomenon has been particularly serious. Metro currently does not have secure vision recognition system that meets the environmental needs. It is simply not enough to utilize regular safety guiding card, there is no organized security precautions resulting in frequent accidents and does not serve its best as a warning function.In this paper, it is believed to have an innovation design that suits the applied environment by combining with own design practice, to closely combine science and technology with art and design, with innovative design concepts for safety and visual guides about the subway system. There were extensive investigations and in-depth research about the graphic design, structure and functionality of the safety light box. In order to produce a dynamic visual display of visual effects so that the function of safety warnings can be achieved by revolutionizing the subway RGB color dynamic light box design and implementation guides to identify its operational program, and in the form of light channel change and overlay each other for the purpose of displaying vision recognition images. Secondly, this light box could install the infrared sensing device for those subway stations without barrier doors, when a passenger waiting to enter the danger zone, the sensor connection boxes and voice systems would quickly convey picture and sound as a double reminder. This can effectively avoid that phenomenon where existing security way finding stickers were torn, but also can protect the visually impaired passengers to travel safely.The easiest way to utilize the principles so that the original structure of the static visual symbol image with new design concepts combining with dynamic conversion innovative technology, could eventually come up with a good solution to overcome the inherent demerits of traditional graphic design and transmissible application. It would be helpful to expand a new way of graphic design, so that it has market value and promotional value. Considering factors such as art, security, scientific viability and practical functionality, our urban public facilities would be more in line with the needs of user-friendly design. Passengers would indeed benefit from traveling by subway and enjoy its convenience and security.The research topic has obtained the patent approval of <<Applied Art Design Patent>> and <<New Applied Application Technology Patent >>, which awarded by State Intellectual Property Patent Office of People’s Republic of China in 2015.
