Study On Du Weiyun’s Historiography Research Of Qing Dynasty

Du Weiyun is a famous historian in modern Taiwan. He devoted his life to his history research which mainly focuses on the history of Chinese historiography, the comparison between Chinese and western historiography and historical methodology. He had a special affection for the Qing Dynasty history research which through his academic career and has some of the most fruitful results. So the study of Du Weiyun in Qing Dynasty history most can see its academic foundation and characteristics, but also the most valuable. At present, research on Du Weiyun’s academic circles is very small, and concentrated in the field of Comparative History. No studies about his historiography achievements.Study on the method of comparative history is the most characteristic Du Weiyun adopted in the research history of the Qing dynasty. This method initiated by Mark Bloch, Mr Du Weiyun advocated, and its application in the research history of Qing Dynasty, tend to the Chinese and western historiography method, and compared with no difference. We see the brilliant achievements of historiography in Qing Dynasty, which helps to improve the status of Chinese historiography in the world history, but also improve the status of the historiography of Qing Dynasty in the Chinese traditional historiography, and helps in world history.
