The Modernization Of Human And Citizen Moral Education In Contemporary China

Human modernization is an inevitable trend of development ofhuman society. The present level of development of China’smodernization behind the Western developed countries. Therefore,China needs to accelerate the development of citizen modernization,keeping up with the trend of development of human society. TheHuman Modernization covers a wide range of content, in whichpeople’s moral standards is an important part of it. Since the reformand opening up, affected by the egoism of Western society, moneyworship and other thoughts，the ideas of our citizens changed a lot.The moral standards of the citizens declined; some moral issuesbecome increasingly prominent, which have become the mainfactors restricting the person’s modernization. Thus, China shouldsolve the moral problems as soon as possible to enhance thecitizens’ moral standards and ensure the modernization processcarried out smoothly. Citizen Moral Education is an effective meansto resolve ethical issues, but also to ensure the smoothimplementation of the human modernization. Citizen MoralEducation can improve the moral standards and the moral qualitiesof our citizens and then promote the modernization of the Chinesepeople. Therefore, the State and society must pay more attention to the Citizen Moral Education; the role of Citizen Moral Education inpromoting Human Modernization should give full play.This article consists of three components:The first part describes the modern connotation, theconnotation of civic and moral education as well as civic and moraleducation role in promoting the modernization of the people. Civicand moral education to promote the modernization of the concept,to establish the correct values and outlook on life, and effectivecoordination of the relationship between human beings, and society,man and nature, but also helps citizens to shape the soundpersonality.The second part analyzes the performance and the reasons ofthe moral issues of our citizens. Mainly in the moral issues of ourcitizens: lack of morality, lack of family virtues, lack of professionalethics, integrity loss. The reason for the moral issues of our citizensenvironmental factors, and our civic and moral system is notperfect.The third section presents a method of optimizing the civic andmoral education, to promote the modernization of people. Civic andmoral education to provide a good external environment, including awealth of material substance, a good cultural environment and asound social system. Civic and moral education need to constantlyimprove, including improvement of its educational philosophy,content, method and main. Young people are a special group ofcitizens in our society, the future strength of the country’smodernization drive, we must strengthen the moral education ofyoung people. Citizen Moral Education plays an important role in shaping themodern character of the people and developing the modern qualityof the people, the role in promoting the Human Modernizationshould not be underestimated. However, imperfect Citizen MoralEducation system is not conducive to the promotion. Thus, to seekan effective way to improve the citizen moral education system forour country is extremely urgent. Educators, the State and societyshould be actively involved, to innovative the citizen moraleducation system to promote the modernization of our citizens.
