During the pre-qin period, as the main representative of Confucianism, Confucius,mencius and xun zi put forward a series of the pre-qin Confucian moral educationthoughts and method, which has far-reaching influence and reference value on the fulldevelopment of moral education thought in our country“benevolence”, as the essence contents part of the pre-qin Confucian moraleducation thoughts, includes the thought of all the virtues, such as “loving”,“loyalty”and “good faith”, at the same time, there are many connectivity between the pre-qinConfucian moral education thoughts and contemporary moral education in our countryin some respects, such as: The concept of harmony is a modern interpretation to theconcept of “benevolence”. the methods of Confucian moral education thoughts, suchas,” To accumulate merits into good moral character”,” surrounding context andenvironment” and “one-size-fits-all”, have an important reference to the current citizenmoral education in our countryAt present, our country is in the process of social transformation. With the furtherdevelopment of market economy, the spread of network and the influence of thecollision between Chinese and western culture, our country citizen moral education,while making great achievements, also appeared some problems in the areas of family,society, schools and education itself. At this time, we should combine the pre-qinConfucian moral education thoughts with citizen our moral Education in our country,endow them with national characteristics and times features, inherit its essence incriticism and blaze new trails in the developing constantly advancing with The Timeblaze new trails in order to provide important theoretical support for improving thequality of the citizens and strengthening the construction of civic virtues.In this paper, we mainly use the methods of literature research and comparativeanalysis to make a systematic interpretation for the essence, experience, as well as themethod of pre-qin Confucian moral education thoughts and to combine the pre-qinConfucian moral education thoughts with civil moral education present situation in ourcountry. Based on the analysis of existing problems and the reasons towards citizenmoral education in our country, we targeted to absorb and draw lessons from it in orderto provide some reference and inspiration for strengthening the moral education of citizens in our country.
