With the rapid development of china’s technoloy and science,advancement of manufacture, modern machine was aked to be higher speed,more efficient, higher precision and higher flexibility,more intelligent.Good technical capability and higher machining capability is also demand.The machining capability include the machine processing quality and cutting efficiency, The two aspects of the machine tool was closely related with static and dynamic performance of the machine tool.Therefore,raising the static and dynamic performance of the machine tool that is the key research content at present.In the actual production process, in order to guarantee the machine tool has good static and dynamic characteristics,precision keeping and processing technology quality, which required the machine tool’s designer who analysed the static and dynamic characteristic of machine tool with a fully way.1.The development and present situation of the fields correlative of the Compound multi-functional lathe and virtual prototype technology, rigid-flexible coupling theory to machine tool is reviewed and summarized at home and abroad, and the aim, meaning and the research content in the paper is set forth.2.Using SolidWork3D design software to built pillar of the machine tool’s model import pillar’s finite element modal to the ANSYS software for static and dynimic analysis, the analy tical outcome was not satisfied with the requirment, so improving the structure of the pillar. optimization design and the topological optimization design were used by the new pillar.3.The original compound multi-functional lathe was analysed by ANSYS software from the static and dynimic analysis’aspect,the analytical outcome was not met the requirment of the design,according to the data of the structure optimization design to build the new pillar,rebuild the whole machine tool modal,the new one was analysed from the static and dynimic analysis’aspect,the analytical outcome was met the requirment.4.The rail slider of the original compound multifunctional lathe, whose rigid-Flexible coup-ling model was established and did the dynamical simulation,the outcome of the simulation expl-ained that the rail slider had not enough stiffness, so we had to rechoose the new one.
