Magazine and the manipulator are the weak parts of the machining center, so there is an urgent need of in-depth analysis of the failure and reliability of magazine and the manipulator. In support of the major projects of the National Science and Technology, this paper dealt with disc magazine and the manipulator produced by Qinchuan Machine Tool Group Co., Ltd. Through failure analysis, allocation of reliability prediction, reliability design and accuracy of the model study, the reliability of disc magazine and the manipulator was analyzed so that to provide a theoretical method for disc magazine and the manipulator reliability design.First, reliability testing device was designed, including the structure of the system and the selection and arrangement of the sensors. Failures were analyzed by use of the reliability test data. The purpose of failure analysis is to look for the weak parts of the system and determine the system crucial pieces so as to lay a foundation for subsequent reliability allocation and reliability design.Secondly, by the analysis of the disc magazine and manipulator system, system basic reliability model and mission reliability model were set up, based on these both models, reliability prediction was carried out. A reliability allocation technique, based on a variety of combined allocations, was put forward, which was mainly based on the complexity and importance, and expert ratings combined reliability allocation techniques.Then, for the disc magazine and manipulator action mechanism, the reliability of the integrated design of the generalized mechanism system was carried out from the action reliability and strength reliability. Through the establishment of a system dynamics model, kinematics model and the accuracy model, by use of random sampling of the Monte Carlo method, the generalized mechanism action reliability was calculated. Besides, by the analysis of the key components of disc magazine and manipulator system, make the reliability design.Finally, the accuracy of the impact model was established in dealing with tool change action accuracy factors of the disc magazine and manipulator, and the reliability was analyzed. A system dynamics model of the tool selection was established, by use of the model, random vibration reliability during the tool selection was researched. About the effect that friction and wear had on transmission accuracy, take full account of the universality and fuzziness of friction and wear, with the fuzzy reliability design method, the reliability of gear wear was studied.
