With the rapid development of modern gear manufacturing in the world, multi-axis CNC grinding machine especially the five-axis and above CNC grinding machine has become an important means of gear processing that needs high-precision and high-efficiency. In the high-precision and high-speed processing environment, the CNC gear grinding machine highlight the key problem of spindle speed tracking-error becomes large due to the change of the grinding torque in the processing, and become an important factor which can affect the processing accuracy of gear. To improve the processing accuracy of gear and reduce the tooth error caused by spindle speed tracking-error has become a top priority. To solve this problem, with the force analysis of the gear grinding process, analyze the speed tracking-error caused by the grinding torque in turret and worktable spindles, establish involute toothing gear equation, analyze the error size in the involute toothing gear owing to speed tracking-error, the error is compensated by fuzzy control principle, achieve the fuzzy control in SCM, all the tracking-error could be compensated in real time by this system.The main work and achievements are as follows:(1) To analyze the force in the gear grinding process, the solid model of gear grinding’s turret and worktable by using PRO/E, dynamic analysis of gear grinding processing is completed by using ADAMS, through that we can get the variation of grinding torque and the specific values in processing, which provided a basis for the following work.(2) To analyze the spindle speed tracking-error caused by the grinding torque in processing and the error size in the involute toothing gear because of the spindle speed error, the model of the worktable’s motor is built by Matlab/Simulink, analyzed the speed tracking-error by the grinding torque in turret and worktable spindles, the involute toothing gear equation and the interpolation control has been built in Simulink, analyzed the error size in the involute toothing gear.(3) By analyzing the change of error size, utilized fuzzy control principle to build the fuzzy control compensator, which is added in position-tracking system, analyzed the effect of compensation and the stability of compensator.(4) To research the method of fuzzy control compensation system by using SCM, the fuzzy compensation is realized by STC89C52SCM, analyzed the effect of compensation for the simulation experiment.
