Gear Measuring Center is a advanced instrument used to measure the gear. The mechanism error of Gear Measuring Center and the installation error of gear will affect the accuracy of gear measurement. In order to improve the measuring precision, this paper established the mechanism error compensation model of turntable and the installation error compensation model.The main content of the paper is the items as follow:1. According to the structure of the turntable, the influence of each mechanism error on the measurement result of involute gear was analyzed.2.Each mechanism error was measured in this paper. Considering the influence of adjustment error on the measurement result when measuring the index error by using the multi-tooth indexing table and photoelectric auto-collimator, a compensation method was proposed. According to the error’s source and periodicity, the error result measured would be analyzed based on the harmonic analysis theory. And the result analyzed could be used to fit the data measured, then obtained the fitting model of mechanism errors of the turntable.3.Based on the principle of coordinate transformation and the relationship between the coordinate system, the coordinates of the ideal sampling point are deduced with the existence of mechanism errors. According that, find the transfer function between the turntable’s mechanism errors and the measurement center’s errors as using normal polar coordinate method, and establish the real-time and non-real-time error compensation model based on the turntable’s mechanism errors and gear’s installation errors.4.The installation error is mainly caused by the big gear installation and adjustment, which have a great impact on the measurement results. In order to eliminate the measuring error caused by the installation eccentricity, the non-real-time error compensation model was established based on the analysis of the influence.5.If the installation eccentricity is bigger, the measuring may hit the gear, beyond the addendum, etc, which could made us can not get the measurement data. Therefore the non-real-time error compensation method has limitations. Considering this problem,the real-time error compensation model for installation eccentricity was established.
