Based On Rs - 485 Smart Meters In The Research And Design

With the social and economic development in China, the residential electricity consumption is increasing. The traditional meter reading can not meet the requirements of modern power management. At this point, the smart meter automatic meter reading system is widely applying to industrial and domestic field. Using the automatic meter reading will be able to complete the meter reading work without at the work scene. This kind can improve the efficiency of the meter reading. Network Intelligence table is a development trend of the smart meter management.Network smart meter is designed to adapt to the requirement of power management by the smart grid. It combines with the experience of designing and operation in power filed. It also is designed by embedded hardware and software platform. The smart meter uses the micro-electronics technology, computer chip technology, modern communication technology. It can support GPRS/GSM and other public wireless communication network technology.This paper using high-precision measurement chip ADE7878and the higher cost of the control chip DSP28035designs phase smart meters. Mainly the following aspects:(1) discussing the significance of the smart meters and development at home and abroad(2) describing the theoretical basis of the metering detailed and exploring the various programs of the smart meters and make the most appropriate solution ultimately(3) researching and developing of hardware design of smart meters and building a hardware circuit(4) programming for the various parts of the software and testing(5) describing the RS-485communication of smart meter and testing.We can design a kind of three-phase smart meter which basing RS-485successfully after the above research. This smart meter can not only meet precise measurement, but also achieve the function of automatic meter reading. It has important practical value and economic value.
