With the development of science and technology, the new materials andtechnologies,such as the polymer materials and microelectronics, have been morewidely used, however, the harm caused by static electricity is more serious. But thereare some methods of ESD protection, and ion neutralization which is commonly used isan effective method. If using this method, the destatic equipment, such as Ion Air Gun,is needed. The High-Voltage Power Supply(HVPS), which products a high voltage toionise air, is one of the most important parts of the destatci equipment. Currently, thevolume of HVPS is so large that the most of the HVPS can not be embeded in thedestatic equipment.The piezoelectric transformer(PT) is used instead of the traditional transformer asthe core component of the booster circuit in this paper. Compareing with traditionaltransformers, PT has maney advantages,such as structure simple, size smaller, lighter,more safe, no winding, no electromagnetic interference; high efficiency, high energydensity,high ratio and so on. By analysising the performance characteristic of PT, it isknown that PT operates at its best only when the frequency of the input voltage of PT isthe resonant frequency of PT. However, the resonant frequency will change because ofexternal factor, so in order to stabilize the output voltage of PT, an effective peripheralcircuits should be designed, which include the inverter circuit, voltage doublingrectifing circuit, the feedback and control circuit.The feedback and control circuit adopt combined PFM and PWM control strategy.The first, adjust the frequency of input voltage of PT to the resonant fequency by usingthe PFM control, then control the duty cycle of the input voltage with the PWM control.The Atmage64SCM is selected as the main chip of the control circuit. The relevantprinciple of voltage doubler rectifier circuit has been analysised in this paper, and thesix times half-wave voltage doubler rectifier circuit is selected as the final output circuit.The entire HVSP has two operation groups, and make these groups to alternately work,in order to product a high-voltage alternating current voltage which fequency can beadjust between1Hz and60Hz. Basis on these theories, the schematic circuit diagram and PCB have been designed.A HVPS testing circuit board has been made, and a complete control program also hasbeen designed. Finally, the critical control signals and output voltage in the circuit istested to verify the correctness and feasibility of these theories.
