Stepping motor has advantages such as simple structure, low accumulation error, high reliability and easy control. With the development of micro controller and stepping motor technology, there is a variety of stepping motor applications many fields. This article studied the digital control technology, and proposed a kind of sinusoid wave subdivision driving system.Traditional hybrid stepping motor has disadvantages such as low subdivision resolution. After the analysis of hybrid stepping motor operating characteristics and segmentation, by using current followed PWM technique, sinusoid wave subdivision technique, self-adaptive current control technique and constant torque driving technique, this article proposed a kind of three-phase hybrid stepping motor driving approach based on FPGA core. Driving module and control module which are described by Verilog language are embedded in an FPGA chip, all the modules have passed the function simulation and circuit synthesis by Quartus II software.According to the analysis of the experiment results, this article implemented1024subdivision of three-phase hybrid stepping motor. The control of forward/backward and roll velocity are flexible. This system is of high integration, small volume, disturbance immunity.
