In recent years, transportation as the nation’s economic lifeline, have greatinfluence on many aspects of society, but in the face of the rapid growth ofmotor vehicles and the limited land resources, if only by expanding the scale ofthe road network, the growing of traffic demand has not apparently met. Most ofthe developed countries have shifted to use the advanced technology totransform the existing limited road resources, which can increase the roadcapacity and level quality of service, so that full use of limited road resources.Traffic simulation which is one of the important and effective means, simulatethe current status of traffic, a reasonable assessment of current traffic conditions,and the ability to issues addressed by the different scenarios, and simulationanalysis of the program, to improve the effectiveness of traffic measures for theprogram selected, in order to provide a strong basis for the selection of theoptimal solution. But also avoids the costly and a long cycle of traffic surveysand field trials, a small price to pay large amounts of data difficult to investigate.China’s Traffic is in the later start in the traffic simulation study, most of theresults is only in the research period. Simulation research and development ofsome developed countries is relatively mature. After long practice, moreaccurate model has been formed, which can be used to describe the vehicle anddriver behavior, the corresponding system has been already formed. So thesesystems play an important part in traffic plan analysis.Traffic operations of our road system in terms of facilities, vehicleperformance, and traffic composition, driver characteristics are different fromother countries operating characteristics, run by foreign traffic survey datamodeling analysis formula in terms of accuracy are not suitable for the analysisof road traffic, how to make the software better applied to the road network inChina to become a new research topic.Taking Ying-Ze Street and Tao-Yuan South Road intersection in Taiyuanfor example, to analyze its traffic problems by investigating the actual traffic conditions of the intersection, selected from the signal control and geometricconditions, a program is proposed by using signal timing optimization systemCROSSIG, which includes the optimal solution and optimal solution, theprogram is analyzed by traffic simulation software VISSIM; Taking Jian-SheRoad for example, Using the above optimization method to determine thecritical cycle of the system, then based on the actual traffic situation the usingsynchrotron coordinated control mode is proposed, compared to status signalplan of link, both average stops and average delays intersection of link and linkare improved.
