As the development of our society and the improvement of our civilization, the economy and emission requirement of diesel engine is getting more and more strict. As a result diesel engine electronic control technology has became the inevitable trend. In many of the electronic control technologies, High-Pressure Common Roil technology is known as the most promising one. This article is mainly about designing and researching High-Pressure Common Roil ECU’s hardware circuit. It described the functional requirements of ECU, the overall structure and working principle of the various functional modules, and part of the modules calculated and analyzed.The ECU used a32-bit TriCore processor of TC1796. Based on internal function modules of TC1796designed the external module circuit. TC1796has an Analog-Digital Converter (ADC) module, a General Purpose Timing Array (GPTA) module, a2M on-chip Flash memory module and a low cost power management module. The GPTA can capture and compare digital signal, it can also output PWM signal.Designed circuit modules are:power supply module, signal processing module, communication module, Flash expansion module and power driving module. Power supply module supply the ECU for5V,3.3V,1.5V and40V, the40V is used for driving the solenoid; Signal processing module treats the signals of the sensors on engine, and then sent the output to ADC or GPTA module of TC1796for caculation and analysis; Communication module is for communicating with other controllers (such as automativ transmission, ABS.etc.). downloading program and communicating with PC; The expansion2M Flash memory is for storing control program; Power driving module is for driving power devices, such as injector solenoid vavles, fuel metering unit and various ralaies.After module design has completed, put all module circuit into one project in the AD10software, draw the ECU circuit. Then have cooperation with professional PCB design and produce company to make the ECU board. Finally, test the ECU board. The test data shows that:power supply module works normally, the internal modules of TC1796works normally, expansion Flash can be accessed normally, the signals that processed by signal processing module is also right, and the power driving module can be controlled.The author designed a High-Pressure Common Roil diesel engine used ECU, and had a completed analysis and test work for the ECU’s circuit principle. This laid a foundation of the research of common roil ECU.
