Guangshen Railway Inter-city Passenger Source Analysis And Evaluation

Guangshen railway is traffic main artery to connect four big cities of don level for population:Guangzhou, Dongguan, Shenzhen, Hong Kong. Especially in recent years, as economic and population of the pearl river delta region growing increasingly fast, passenger transport demand along the railway is increasing continuously. Facing the development and competition of high speed railway, inter-city rail traffic, highway and so on many modes of transportation, Guangshen railway inter-city passenger flow is facing a lot of shunt situation. Therefore, Guangshen railway must create new inter-city passenger market and fully exploit the potential of the passenger flow along to continuously develop the Guangshen railway passenger service.This paper firstly analyzes the opportunities and challenges of Guangshen railway development in-depth, then determines the location of railway market development, and put forward a new strategic choice for adding station along the Guangshen railway.It is very important to choose the potential scheme for adding station and expanding the passenger service range. The paper adopts TOPSIS algorithm based on the triangle fuzzy numbers:on the premise of constructing evaluation indexes, we invite10experts who understand deeply the situation of society, economy and transportation development of the pearl river delta region to evaluate the alternative schemes. The result shows that Pinghu is the optimal scheme.The research of Pinghu region inter-city passenger market shows that that residents eager to adding the station, and Pinghu has good inter-city passenger flow foundation. It is effective to promote the social and economic development, and the meaning of public welfare is obvious. This shows that adding Pinghu station is feasible and necessary.This paper aims to analyze the market changes, and puts forward the market orientation and strategic choice of further development for Guangshen railway. Through analysis and evaluation of site selection, we select the potential plan in order to ensure sustainable healthy development of Guangshen railway passenger transport business.
