A great deal of transformation of cities has taken place in China since21century.Before the decision-makers and designers couldn’t straightened out what the city was,why and how to reform, large tracks of city blocks had been put on the “new”. A lot ofunreasonable conceptions and phenomena arisen for several years though there aredifferent ideas in the theoretical circle. The problem lies in lacking of the specificmethods which are more reasonable and effective..This essay puts forward design methods and coping strategies of transformationin city blocks--landscape as the guide of systemic transformation by analyzing thesituations and conceptions of the current transformation in the city blocks based onthe city histories and its development.
