With the development and maturity of China’s satellite technology, China’s satellitedevelopment has not been resolved, but the question before us is how to design and develop alower cost, better performance, less investment satellite. The development and application ofmodern minisatellite become an effective way to solve this problem. Compared to traditionallarge satellites, modern minnisatellites have the following advantage: low-cost, shortdevelopment cycle, easily approaching to multi-satellite launch. Minisatellites can also workin modern network or formation. They still accomplish the difficult space mission, so theminisatellite’s development has become a major trend in the modern time.However, due to the minisatellite with a small size and high integration features, therequirements of the volume restrict hardware design and the ability to backup, but thereliability requirements of the entire satellite did not reduce relatively, so a systematic study,accurate and effective method of analysis, reliability analysis, design and evaluation are veryimportant.In this paper, the reliability of existing methods of analysis and application process havebeen studied and then the application of existing methods of reliability analysis problemshave been discussed.the existing analytical methods are not systematic, and some analyticalmethods have been behind the existing technology.Thus, this paper introduces two new methods: functional hazard analysis and dynamicfault tree analysis; and modular dynamic fault tree and Markov process decompositionmethod for solving questions above; on this basis, the existing methods of analysis is dividedfor the system; then the reliability of the association between the methods and effects isdiscussded,combined with a variety of methods the idea is proposed. And satellite propulsionsystems is an example, the reliability of analytical methods for new applications has beenverified.Finally, a new reliability analysis method for satellite data transmission system isanalyzed to get a more satisfactory conclusion, and in the actual design it has been applied toobtain good results.
