The contactor is an electric appliance that could cut off the main circuit of the AC or DC, and connected to the high current of circuit frequently, so it was widely used in the circuit. The performance test experiment of the contactor is an important method to measure the power system security applications.According to the technical requirements of the performance test, the paper have developed the automatic test platform, the PXI-1042chassis and PXI-8108as the core of the test device that from the national instruments Co., Ltd.. It has introduced the performance system design of the contactor. In the light of the system requirements, the hardware circuit and software testing system were designed, the dynamic data and the test result in performance test of the contactor displayed in the man-machine interface by NI virtual instrument LabVIEW software based on Windows platform. The system have very solved the real-time collect for the voltage and current signals of the main circuit, the relevant parameter test that used the NI PXI-6251data acquisition card, and through the data analysis, to judge the performance of the product. The main research contents include:1. Through investigated the domestic and international research level and related hardware developed situation, this project combined with the measuring system demand and its technical requirements, then determine the feasibility and significance of the study, this paper determines a feasible, applicable measurement system design for the system, including hardware designed, software system developed.2. According to the technical requirement of the performance test, using the principle of the closed-loop feedback system, it have designed hardware interface board to connect with the NI data acquisition card to collect the test data in real-time.3. The system requirements of the performance test, it have developed performance test system of the contactor based on the LabVIEW2010.The system automatic distinguish the content of the bar code for the product model, called the corresponding test parameters for testing, such as power consumption test, cut off resistance test, inrush and reset voltage test, conductivity test, then saved the test results in table form, for users to query in future. 4. Through analysis the test results, and take the qualified parameter table for compare, analysis the performance of the contactor.The system is not only for the performance test, but also the data to support for the performance analysis. The research has been applied to the SIZE3contactor performance test for the automatic equipment of ABB xinhui low-voltage switchgear co.Ltd. The testing precision of the current can reach0.001A.
