The high-end light bus of independent brand has become major R&D project for domestic automobile manufacturers in recent years. Body design and test is very important. The topic of this article comes from the improvement project of a light bus’s body. The basic idea of the body’s improvement and design was explored. And the road simulation test was indicated in order to verify the body after improvement. The preliminary exploration of future improving design of light bus was carried out.The extraction of the body’s characteristic parameter which includes the theoretical basis and testing processes of modal test, static stiffness test and dynamic static stress test was first introduced. The result of those test were analyzed in detail.The CAE analysis of the body was conducted secondly which mainly verifies the accuracy of the body mode according to the experimental results. Based on this, a variety of body improvement program were given considering the factors of manufacturing costs as well as the manufacturing process. And the ultimate program of body’s improving design was determined.Finally, the road load spectrum acquisition and analysis of the body’s key parts was carried out using the data acquisition and analysis system through sensors of six-component, acceleration, displacement, strain. The equivalent relationship between users and testing ground as well as indoor road simulation and testing ground were calculated using those data. Then verify the effect of the body after improvement using four-channel road simulator with the input signal of processed load spectrum.
