Residential Space Variability Study

Residents increasingly diverse lifestyles, economic development and social progress, and the social aging trend to accelerate in the context of the times, so that people entered an unprecedented state of existence. Times calling leap of residential design, this design has the connotation of "people-oriented" variability this connotation manifestations.Now with the development of the market economy and the commodification of housing system reform, the original welfare housing gradually evolve for people to take the initiative to market select, buy commercial houses, residential design only as much as possible to meet the needs of the tenants, in line with household consumer psychology, only to have stronger market competitiveness. Economic development, a change in lifestyle, changes in family structure caused by the complexity of the mode of living, changeable. The large number of existing residential can not meet the needs of tenants flexible, the tenants often privately transformation housing, resulting in the destruction of the residential structure and social wealth wasted. How to resolve this contradiction has become the problem in front of developers and designers. Variable design for residential space will undoubtedly be an effective way to solve the problem.In a sense, a residential delivery, it is never the end of the transformation. Different users at different stages, constantly changing their living space. Fact, housing is a user-centric change, flexible, and open space system, flexibility, openness, has the qualities of a house should be fully taken into account in the design and construction of the special properties of the residential building.In this paper, based on research at home and abroad on the variability of residential space theory and practice, and explore the variability of the demand for residential space and the status quo, through questionnaires, data collation, analysis of residential space to change the status quo and influencing factors; Second, home interviews and select the representative residential space to change the case for detailed analysis, including its change reasons, means to change the before and after effect, and comparison and analysis, to explore the spatial variation of the motivation, goals and transformation process three aspects of the micro level, the macro level of variability in the larger perspective of the relationship of residential space and residential space design theory in general law, and finally from the spatial variation of the specific methods to explore the residential spatial variability design strategies to in residential the degeneration concept study based on in-depth exploration of specific ways of its realization, created most of the people love and enjoy life residential.
