In this paper, the the Finite Element Method(FEM) software ANSYS is applied to analyze the dynamic stress and strain distributions of a hybrid base bleed and rocket extended range projectile. Every component of projectile is analyzed.The structure, material and work property of a hybrid base bleed and rocket extended range projectile is launching.Built up the calculation model of hybrid base bleed and rocket extended range projectile, and analyze the influence of hybrid base bleed and rocket extended range projectile under the high overloads.Through the result of the analysis, the stress and strain distributions of each component are got.So the weaker parts can be found.Based on the distributions of the stess and strain, it would be known whether the structure is reasonable,and it would be proposed improvements to weak components. At the same time, the establishment of whole shells dynamic modal analysis model, obtained the modal analysis of the dynamics of the whole shells, got the reasonable structure natural frequency and the corresponding modes. The results of the analysis has played an important role in the design and optimization works.
