As the development of Chinese economic, the single-storey industrial plant gradually can’t meet the demand of producing and building. Lots of multi-storey industrial plants have been built now. There are a large number of new multi-storey frame-bent structure industrial plants built in some cities of Jiangsu province recently, whose roof use the saddle plates and floor use the double-T plates.The plants looks simple and generous design. Although the structure of the plants have been widely used, the seismic behavior research of this structure is still relatively little, and there is not much content about the new multi-storey frame-bent structure industrial plants in Chinese Seismic Code.In this paper, the seismic performance of the new multi-storey frame-bent structure industrial plants is evaluate with the static elastic-plastic analysis by using MIDAS/Gen software. The main content summarized as follows:the hysteretic behavior of double T plate-beam joint is tested, the hysteresis curve of shear-displacement and moment-rotation of the joint is analysed from the tests, Use the finite element analysis software ANSYS to simulate the tests, and to compare its results with the tests’results, analyze the yield strength, yield displacement, ultimate bearing capacity, ultimate displacement and ductility ratio, then get the line stiffness and rotational stiffness of the joint; Do pushover analysis to the multi-storey frame-bent structure plant by MIDAS/Gen, get the displacement between stories and find the locations of the plastic hinges when the multi-storey frame-bent structure is in frequent and rare earthquake; Study the influence of column section, span and story height to the new multi-storey frame-bent structure; Compare the seismic behavior of the new multi-storey frame-bent structure and multi-storey frame structure in order to analyze the characteristics of the two structures on the seismic performance. In the end, this paper comprehensively evaluates the feasibility of the new multi-storey frame-bent structure from the seismic performance, difficulty of construction and engineering cost, the new multi-storey frame-bent structure industrial plants is worth promoting vigorously.
