| Discrete manufacturing industry is rapidly developed with the exploration of both manufacturing informatization and the globalization. A range of requirements are highlighted particularly in quality-improving, fast response, and products diversification. All aspects in the production process become significant and urgent to manufacturing enterprises in order to improve monitoring and management. In fact, manual report/input computer system in data collection is still widely used even in some enterprises which have implemented information technology. The less integrated collection system certainly reduces the effectiveness of production and makes enterprises lose initiative in the modern manufacturing industry. All these facts sparked more considerations and studies referring effective data collection, integrated data transaction, as well as monitoring improvement in production process.Based on a current review of discrete manufacturing plant data acquisition, the overall system is designed, and the systematic requirements in manufacturing process collection and acquisition is analyzed. After specific studies on discrete workshop production process, the data is classified from production spots in line with their characteristics. Next, the classified data is inputted into simulation through UML static model. Furthermore, an integrated discrete production model is put forward according to individual simulations in order to ensure data source is consistent both for the emerging system and other workshops. In addition to researches on original data, the studies are focused on the methods of data collection as well. A plenty of researches referring material data, quality data, equipment data, and tooling data are bloomed with an overall collection and acquisition plan. Some of the fresh data is further exampled in the cases, with associated statistical analysis.Finally, this paper provided a refined system designing which is considered over data acquisition system construction, UML case model, analyses of dynamic behavior model, as well as construction of system data base. The implementation of this initial system is oriented to the requirements of enterprises, and is practiced by JAVA, JSP/Servlet, and Hibernate. The feasibility of this designing is proofed by experimental studies and running trails. |
