Lifting machinery plays an irreplaceable important role in the national economy. However, lifting machinery is supposed to be one of the most dangerous in heavy machine equipment, and has the largest probability of accident in the specialty equipment. The bridge crane has the highest accident rates among lifting machinery. In addition, with fuzzy systems conventional reliability incompatibility of traditional concepts, makes conventional reliability theory and engineering practice contradictions increasingly prominent. Especially in the analysis of the crane data samples, in case of small sample size problem and no probability reproducibility between samples here, makes it is suitable for the use of fuzzy reliability theory and computational methods to analyze the crane.In this paper, for the appearance of frequently bridge crane run institutions failure, such as derailment, tipping, collision, track biting and losing of the level of athletic ability, establish fault tree separately. Discussed the fault tree minimal cut set method of calculating and applied it to the fault tree qualitative analysis. On this basis, execute quantitative analysis and give the failure probability and the Component Importance. Then taking into account the difficulty of the whole system reliability calculation, using fuzzy reliability theory as a basis, fuzzy mathematical methods, analysis of running the institutions fault tree, to get the fuzzy probability formula and calculate the reliability of the whole system base on the system fuzzy evaluation method. And because of the complexity of the calculation, this paper used VC++to program the reliability software of bridge crane, eliminated the need of tedious operation of the traditional crane on-site monitoring and inspection process and the large number of inputs.In these incidents which caused by cranes run institutions accounted for a large proportion, so the reliability analysis of the bridge crane run institutions to reduce the crane accident rate as well as maintenance and failure analysis of mechanical systems are becoming more and more significance.
