Tandem shape charge-following tandem warhead is an effective way to achieve largecharge-following in the soil, which is consisted of forward shaped charge and backwardfollowing charge. In the process of this tandem warhead used, the jetting projectile formed bythe shaped charge penetrated the target which through the center hole firstly, then thebackward charge entre into the perforated target by the first charge exploding energy, thus thedamage and blockade effect of the warhead was realized. In this thesis, Tandem shape charge---following warhead’s working process and mechanism was studied by theoretical analysis,numerical simulation and experimental study. The result of this thesis would provide valuabletheoretical basis and technical reference for the Tandem shape charge---following warhead’sdesign and improvement. The followings are the main contents of this dissertation:1) This paper presents the model of a new tandem shape charge-following tandemwarhead, which realized large charge-following in the soil medium. And demonstrates thefeasibility of its relative merits and action process by comparing to the traditional tandemcharge.2) The Jetting Projectile Charge(JPC) formation mechanism of such liners with differentform and structure had been studied by means of the theories and experiment,In themeantime,the effect laws of liner top-mouth thickness ratio on JPC shaping performancewere also give out. And the mechanism of penetration process towards the soil wasresearched.3) The paper gives out a simplified numerical model for the tandem warhead. The Actionprocess of the tandem warhead was studied, the forward shaped charge’s detonation effect onthe backward charge was analyzed through numerical simulation. The simulation model wasset up respectively, result of which indicated that forward charge affected the backwardcharge greatly. Some important factors influenced the effect between the shaped charge andfollowing charge was analyzed.4) This paper establishes fracture analysis model of embed-mass while it vertically embed the target plate with pre-drilled cavities, obtains the minimum velocity expression ofthe embed-mass when the fracture failure happens, and validates the theoretical results bynumerical simulations and experiment researches. According to the theoretical analysis,numerical simulation and experimental researches, this paper finally comes to the conclusionthat the minimum velocity of the embed-mass when the fracture failure happens isproportional to yield stress, tangent modulus and critical strain of the material, inverselyproportional to the density at the same time.
