Shandong Pingyin Lingyansi Huichongda Investigation And Research

This thesis is divided into two parts:Part â…  and Part â…¡. Part â…  is a specific research report on the remains status of Huichong Pagoda and the whole tomb pagoda group area in Lingyan Temple in Changqing District, Jinan City, Shangdong Province. Part â…¡ is to analyze the artistic features of their architectural style based on the measurement data of Huichong Pagoda, compare with the style features of some early single-floor pagodas in other regions, and deduce the construction time of Chonghui Pagoda as precisely as possible.The tomb pagoda group in Lingyan Temple in Changqing District, Shangdong is the second largest after the tomb pagoda group in Shaolin Temple. Besides two relatively large-sized pagodas, Huichong Pagoda and Zushi Pagoda, there are a lot of remains of stone pagodas and stone tablets. However, since the Dynasty of Qing (1616-1911), Lingyan Temple gradually declined, so there is short of historic literature on the research of the status of above remains. This dissertation compares the specific measurement data of Huichong Pagoda with other remaining early pagodas, researches and studies the whole style model, slope of roof, shape combination model of the pagoda body and process method of detail element of Huichong Pagoda, and concludes in the end that the construction time of Huichong Pagoda is in the Dynasty of Tang.
