Research Of Daxiangsi Pagoda In Heyang

In ancient China,Tang and Song dynasties are the rapid development periods of construction, but also the peak of Chinese pagoda’s technical and artistic development. Chinese pagoda is starting from Northern and Southern dynasties, and flourished in the Tang and Song dynasties. At that time, Guanzhong area has the largest population and richest cultural accumulation, as pagodas gradually become a typical example of ancient China high-rise buildings. Actually, pagoda is an exotic architectural forms. Under the influence of Chinese traditional culture, pagoda is constantly engaged in the transformation and integration of localization. Different dynasties’ pagodas reflect the traces of historical development, with ancient political life, economic development, and social culture. Due to the special geographical location and historical and cultural background, Guanzhong area across multiple dynasties is one of the regions which have many ancient pagodas. Daxiangsi Pagoda is one of representative pagodas in Tang and Song dynasties.This article focused on the core issue discussion and research of "Daxiangsi Pagoda in Heyang inferred protection and restoration". As the "Leaning Tower" in Guanzhong area and the seventh batch of national key cultural relic protection sites,Daxiangsi Pagoda was very little researched. Currently, it is in a dangerious situation and lack of conservation and restoration. With the results of previous studies, literature and archaeological data, Based of the deeped reserch of Guanzhong Pagodas’ characteristic of Tang and Song Dynasties, this paper minite studied the Daxiangsi Pagoda’s culture, geographical space, architectural form, structure details, design features and other aspects; then, it was compared with other pagodas in Guanzhong area which are similar or closed with to arrival at a conclusion of its original form and the exactlydynasty it belongs to. At the end of the article, restoration and conservation the perspective of a Daxiangsi Pagoda repairs reasonable suggestions.Research of this study explored the Daxiangsi Pagoda’s architectural design techniques and characteristics, which filled the Daxiangsi Pagoda rarely empty their architectural design research materials. Furthermore,the protection and restoration proposals’ research of Daxiangsi Pagoda are reasonable for follow-up repair work.
