| Objective:To observe the Shuang-hu capsule treating benign prostatic hyperplasia (kidney deficiency and blood stasis type) in the clinical efficacy and safety.Methods:With the randomized and controlled method.72patients of benign prostatic hyperplasia (kidney deficiency and blood stasis type) were selected.36cases in the treatment group (Shuang-hu capsule). while36cases in the control group (Long bishu capsule).After a course of treatment (12weeks), each group was observed in TCM symptom score, international prostate symptom score (I-PSS), quality of life score (QOL) and maximum flow rate (Qmax) changes of detection before and after the treatment. All results are used SPSS17.0statistical analysis, and P≤0.05indicated that the difference was statistically significant.Results:In the treatment group9cases were cured completely,12cases were effective,9cases marks got improved and3cases were ineffective. The total effective rate,marked improvement rate were90.91%and63.64%respectively.Meanwhile the total effective rate,marked improvement rate were82.35%and47.06%respectively in the control group. The comparison of classification efficacy, the clinical controlled rate and total effective rate between the two groups, the difference was no statistically significant (P>0.05). Compared with the control group, in the TCM symptom score, maximum flow rate(Qmax) and improvement of urination difficulties symptoms and so on. treatment group was more effective than the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).There were no obvious side effects during the research.Conclusion:Shuang-hu capsule was effective in the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia (kidney deficiency and blood stasis type) and there was same result compared with Long bishu capsule. It could relieve the clinical symptoms, reduce the TCM symptom score, increase the maximum flow rate(Qmax), enhance the quality of life, and without any obvious side effects. It is a good choice to treat this disease. |
