Eye Needle Therapy For Stroke Sequela Period Constipation Clinical Observation

Purpose：Constipation is a common complication after stroke， and it’soccurrence is the result of the role of a combination of factors.The informationfor the treatment of Constipation after Stroke is very little. In this subject，we treat the patients with the method of Eye-acupuncture therapy combined withbody acupuncture treatment for stroke after-effects of constipation， Bycomparing the effectiveness of acupuncture treatment of stroke sequelae ofconstipation， we try to find a simple and convenient for clinical efficacysignificant method for treatment of stroke sequelae of constipation.Object and method：The literature review includes the method forconstipation after stroke， and control situation， and constipation progressin the past10years acupuncture treatment of stroke.This clinical studies selected patients with stroke sequelae as the researchobject， In accordance with the diagnosis standard， inclusion standard，exclusion standard， we screened84patients in this study. In chronologicalorder， these patients were randomly divided into3groups （Eye-acupuncturetherapy combined with body acupuncture treatment group， Eye needle group andbody acupuncture group）.The statistical comparison was that the3groups hadno significant difference. The group which treated by body acupuncture wasconsist of30cases， toke the Tianshu，Shangjuxu， qihai， Zhongwan， pishu，xuehai， shenshu， zusanli; Eye needle group28cases treated by eye-acupuncturetreatment， took the same acupuncture points with before. Another group isconsist of25cases， toke the method of Eye-acupuncture combined with bodyacupuncture， toke District of lung， intestine area， liver， kidney area，the focal region in addition to the above points. The three groups of patientswere all treated with once-daily acupuncture，20-30minutes each time， and treated seven days as a course， observed two courses continuously. Observedthe defecation after treatment， the patient’s bowel movement，to determine theefficacy，and recorded adverse reactions.Results：Literature studies have showed that research about constipationoccurred in the treatment of stroke is relatively small;the Western medicationmainly takes these treatment measures such as Medication，psychotherapy，dietaryguidance，and bowel training.Due to the limited conditions，or other discomfort，these methods are failed to extensive clinical;TCM treatment are Acupuncture，electro-acupuncture，acupressure，acupoint application，embedding and othermethods.Acupuncture is one of the methods of treatment of constipation，not onlyeasy to operate，but also curative effect，so this method is accepted by so manyphysicians and patients，and is widely used in clinical.Acupuncture in thetreatment of stroke after the constipation has a good effect and value.Clinical observations： the group which treated by the Eye-acupuncturetherapy combined with body acupuncture consisted by31patients，12were cured，17had significant effect，2patients were ineffective， the total efficiencywas93.55%；Eye acupuncture group，28patients， five cases were cured，16cases effective and7cases ineffective， the total efficiency rate was75.00%;The group which treated by body acupuncture consisted by25patients，4were cured，14had significant effect，7cases were ineffective， the totalefficiency was72.00%; Eye acupuncture combined with body acupuncture grouptreatment for constipation is more efficient than the eye acupuncture group andthe body acupuncture group. By Mann-Whitney U test， Eye acupuncture combinedwith body acupuncture compared with eye acupuncture group， P＜0.05， differencewas statistically significant. Eye acupuncture combined with body acupuncturegroup compared with body acupuncture group， P＜0.05， difference wasstatistically significant. Eye needle group compared with body acupuncture groupP＞0.05， the difference had no statistical significance. Conclusion：1.The Eye-acupuncture therapy combined with body acupuncture treatment onthe total effective rate was significantly superior to the group which treatedby the body acupuncture and the group which treated by the eye acupuncture.2.The Eye-acupuncture therapy combined with body acupuncture treatment canpromote the first defecation of stroke sequelae of constipation in patients，and defecation interval was shortened.3.Eye body acupuncture treatment of stroke after-effects of constipationin the period of time to prevent recurrence of constipation， and reduce therelapse rate.4.There was no significant difference in relapse in these bedridden patientsno matter treated by Eye acupuncture combined with body acupuncture or simplytreated by eye needle or body acupuncture lonely.5.The Eye-acupuncture therapy combined with body acupuncture treatment forstroke sequelae of constipation in ambulatory patients have a certain effect.6.The Eye-acupuncture combined with body acupuncture treatment forconstipation in the stroke sequelae have significant effects， and easy tooperate，easy to accept patients，no adverse reactions，is worthy of promotion.
