Mottled Skin Medicine Study The Chemical Composition Of The Ethyl Acetate Extract

Cortex Zanthoxyli is the bark of trunk and roots from Zanthokylum simulans Hance. var. podocarpum (Hemsl.) Huang. It has the effect of fending off a chill, ease a pain, removing a blood stasis and dredging channels. It is mainly used to treat arthralgia and myalgia caused by rheumatism, injuries from falls and snake bites. Cortex Zanthoxyli is widely distributed in Hunan Province with a huge mount of resources. Feasibility Research shows that the ethyl acetate extract of Cortex Zanthoxyli had better effectiveness on rheumatoid arthritis.Aimed at looking for the material base of Cortex Zanthoxyli in treating rheumatoid arthritis, the ethyl acetate extract was separated systematically through chromatographic column methods such as Silicon gel, HP-20, MCI gel, Sephadex LH-20, RP-18and PTLC etc. Then the isolated compounds were identified through spectroscopy and chemical methods such as1H-NMR、13C-NMR and DEPT methods. Finally, ten compounds were identified. Some of the compounds have shown related bioactivity already.The research in our project will provide scientific basis in the formulation of quality specifications for Cortex Zanthoxyli and lay a good foundation for the multipurpose use of Cortex Zanthoxyli resources.
