The training of junior high school students to promote their resilience is an important aspectof the development of their mental health, it is a good way to enhance their resilience by therelevant factors from . Many studies show that social support and resilience are closely related,while self-efficacy and resilience has a total of degeneration, this study examines the status ofresilience of junior high school students, and examines the role of social support on resilience–the mediation effect of self-efficacy. This study will enrich and develop the resilience in the theoryand practice.The participants of this study were 446 junior high school students from seventh, eighth, andninth grade from Jinan Jinyuan middle school. They completed the resilience Scale for Chineseadolescents, Social Support Rating Scale and general self-efficacy scales.The conclusions of the study were as follows:1. Girl’s resilience was significantly higher than boys. Nuclear family had the highest level ofresilience. There were no difference between the grades and whether there was the only child onthe level of resilience.2. The level of subjective support was highest, the objective support for the second, and the levelfor the use of the support was lowest for the junior high school students. Girl’s social support wassignificantly higher than boys. There was no difference between the grades, whether there werethe only child and the family structure on the level of social support.3. Seventh grade students had the significantly higher general self-efficacy than the eighth grade,ninth grade. There was no difference between the genders, whether there were the only child andthe family structure on the level of self-efficacy.4. The correlations of various dimensions of social support, resilience and general self-efficacy arepositive in varying degrees.5. General self-efficacy plays the role of mediation in the relationship of all dimensions for socialsupport and resilience.
