In recent years, more and more reports, literary works and researchesrelated to homosexuality have came to the fore. Although homosexual people onlyaccount for a small part of Chinese population, they are now ordinary group in our dailylife, especially for the several provinces which is comparably tolerate to the homosexualculture. The lesbians are concerned more because they are more centralized and active.People start to know about this group. Their living situation is emerging. Someonesports them but most people stand in the middle of the road. The traditional culture andmoral idea make a great impact on the homosexual culture and movement which willdefinitely influence their mental health. There has been a lot of researches about themental health of homosexuality, but there is no research about the relationship amongthe social support、self-efficacy and mental health of homosexuality.Combining the quantization and empirical study, the research refers to therelationship among the social support、self-efficacy and mental health of lesbian byusing the questionnaire survey and interview method. The PSSS、GSES、SAS and SDSare applied to discuss the variables status、 Demographic differences and therelationships among the variables. Meanwhile, the interview which concerns about theresearch also prove the findings as followed:(1)The social support of lesbian is mainly from their friends. Whether theperson is from the only-one-child family has no significant difference; There issignificant difference on different educational level of the collectivity of PSSS.(2)The overall level of self-efficacy of lesbian is high and there has significantdifference on different income level and the situation of coming out of the closet. Thereis no significant difference of lesbian’s self-efficacy on the factors such as age、educational level、nature of work and sex role.(3)The average score of SAS and SDS is around the critical value. The subjectswho have depression are more than those who have anxiety. The total score of SAS andSDS of different ages diversifies significantly, the score of the young ones is higher thanthe older ones’, so as the different income levels. There is significant difference on educational level and sex role of the total score of SDS, while SAS has no significantdifference on these two factors.(4)There is significant positive correlation between the social support andself-efficacy; the SDS and the SAS indicate that there is significant negative correlationbetween social support and mental health; the self-efficacy is positively related to themental health.(5)The social support and self-efficacy of lesbian can effectively predict hermental health.(6)The self-efficacy of lesbian partly mediated the influence of social support onself-efficacy.
