"cat" And "sands" Singing Style And Character Comparison Research

The melodrama is a special kind of art form, which combined with dance, music, drama and other art forms to make it unique on the stage. For Western melodrama or the original melodrama in China, they all present before the audience with their variety of forms. The topic of this paper will be based on the British classical musical, the Broadway melodrama "Cats" and the original melodrama "Sands", the musical part of the concert aria features and style characteristics, as well as the shaping of the role were compared and discussed, then the characteristics and the inadequacies of the original melodrama "Sands" in China were given, which contributed the future development of the original melodrama in China.The contents of this paper were devided into five parts.1 The introduction of background and the synopsis of two melodramas;2 The analysis of the features and music style and the concerts of two melodramas;3 The analysis of the shaping of role;4 The analysis of the similarities and differences with two melodramas;5 The conclusion about the comparision of two melodramas, and the part of the development of "Sands" were produced and then the future development of melodramas was put forward.
