The universal existence is interlinked the similarity in Chinese and traditional Chinese painting though they belong to a different category. Lots of connection and internal relations in Chinese and traditional Chinese painting can be shown because they have the commensuration from culture phylogeny angle. Traditional Chinese painting, as the other style of Chinese culture, can reflect the special construction feature of Chinese. This thesis attempts to grasp the internal features of Chinese and appreciate the unique glamour of Chinese from a new perspective by analyzing the similarities in Chinese and Traditional Chinese Painting. This research touches the soul of Chinese in a certain sense.This paper chooses following six common aspects of Chinese and traditional Chinese Painting:specific model, Parataxis, the misty and actual, correspondence, sight point, linear structure. The thesis, from linguistic angle, discusses the intrinsic characteristics and the unknown of Chinese by using the traditional Chinese Painting as a starting point. This paper was designed to five parts.The first part is a brief introduction. It introduces the purpose of this study and the research of preceding studies. By wording on this investigation, we have find that there are still some areas receiving little attention and problems which need to be worked out. This part also includes the theories and methods of the research.The second part analyzed the appearance and spirits of Chinese Language by specific model and Parataxis from opposite angles. Firstly, it analyzes the features and ways of expression of Chinese Painting in Chinese Language. It highlights appearance of Chinese. Then it analyzes Parataxis and Paranormal expression in Chinese. It highlights spirits of Chinese.The third part analyzed the misty and actual and correspondence in Chinese. Firstly, it analyzes the combination of void and solid in Chinese, then it analyzes the characteristic ellipsis of Chinese, and finally it analyzes the multi-faceted correspondence in Chinese.The fourth part interpreted sight point and linear structure. Firstly, it analyzes the embodiment of "scattering point" in Chinese, then it analyzes the linear combination in Chinese through interpreting "bamboo syntactic structure", and finally it analyzes the flexible of linear structure in Chinese through interpreting word order.The last part is a conclusion of this paper. And it also illustrates the value of this study and raises important issues that need to be further discussed.
