Lexicology is very important for learning foreign languages. In the field oflanguage, the skills and level of proficiency is significantly determined by the wealth ofwords that a learner possesses. Chinese language is very rich in terms of vocabulary,and in particular, in synonyms and words with very close meaning. Synonyms can bedifferent with respect to semantics, including scope of use, objectification, color, and areoften regarded as parts of the speech. Most often than not, the difference between thewords and their meaning can be very small, which means that distinguishing and usingsynonyms becomes a nightmare for foreigners who study Chinese language.Which approach to use in the differentiation of synonyms, how to help foreignstudents in studying and mastering of synonyms, what way should be used in theclassroom by the teacher to help students with understanding the meaning and correctusing of synonyms-the sphere of research of this work.
