In recent years, higher art education in China develops rapidly, and the annual "art exam fever" has become the focus of widespread concern by the community. As a key link in the development of higher education, professional curriculum setting not only affects to the students’ employment,and more importantly, it is also related to the building and socio-economic development of the discipline system.In this study, through the empirical investigation of higher arts education in the Specialty Development in Shaanxi Province,I made a deep analysis of the Shaanxi Province of higher arts education professional development encountered many problems and its influencing factors,to Explore the improvement of the professional setting of higher arts education in Shaanxi Province on Sustainable Development,with a goal of pushing forward the western development strategy and the western region’s economic transformation and upgrading of central and western cultural adjustment of industrial structure.First of all, through a full investigation of the professional status quo of the art professional institutions in Shaanxi ordinary colleges and universities and Higher Vocational Colleges, I clarified the information of the professional Curriculum setting of the art professional at present and professional number of enrollments and graduates’ employment status, to analyze and summarize the achievements of Shaanxi art higher education. After a comparative study with a brother provinces of Shaanxi, I made an objective evaluation and judgment of the current Shaanxi basic state of the art education.Secondly, through the empirical research, I sort out the problems of the professional Curriculum setting in Shaanxi universities and colleges, such as, the existence of the arts are too much, too concentrated, the same blindness and too much randomness, professional qualities and capabilities,the poor social adaptability of graduates, the lack of features of the professional Curriculum setting,and so on. Finally, through conducting a full research to solve the above issues related, and analyzing by means of the design of questionnaires and interviews, etc. I put forward countermeasures and suggestions to solve the above problems, to provide the basis for the development of the structural adjustment of the Shaanxi art majors and art majors.
