High School Students Time Management Disposition Intervention Study

The purpose of this study is to understand high school student’s time management disposition and its relationship with academic achievement and academic emotions,and through the time management courses to investigate the affect that improve students’ time management disposition and academic emotions.there are two parts of the study, In the first part of study,225students were investigated, which are from grade10, using the Adolescents Academic Emotions Questionnaire Developed and the Adolescence Time Management Disposition Scale, this part gets the following conclusions:(1)Girls are obviously higher than boys in negative-high arousal emotions;(2)There is no significant sex difference in three latitudes, girls are obviously higher than boys in priority of time experience.(3)The relations between time management disposition and academic emotions were strong.(4)There is no relation between academic achievement, time value and time control, however academic achievement is related to time efficacy.(5) There is a significant positive correlation between academic achievement and positive-low arousal emotions; there is a significant negative correlation between negative-low arousal emotions and academic achievement.In the other part of study, two non-differential classes from grade10were selected, one class (48students) was made to be the experimental group, and another one (47students) to be the control group. The experimental group accepted time management training courses, after five courses, this part gets the following conclusions:(1)After the experiment, the experimental group is obviously higher in the positive-high arousal academic emotions.(2)After the experiment, the experimental group is obviously higher than the pretest scores in time value, time control and time efficacy.(3)After the experiment, the increase in time value and time efficacy of the experimental group is obviously higher than the control group.Studies have shown that, time management courses for students is effective, on students’positive-high arousal academic emotions also played a certain role.
