Language is not only a cultural product but also a cultural career. At the Same time, language is also a tool that holds together and promotes societal development. Moreover, societal development, technological advancement, thoughts and expressions as well as cultural integration continuously enrich, develop and evolve a language. In the process of intercultural contact and exchange, different cultures inevitably influence one another, because language is the most important medium for cultural manifestation. Intercultural communication and contact and the inevitable influence on the languages paves way for the emergence and employment of borrowed words.To date, most research on borrowed words in Chinese language has been focusing on source of the borrowed words, introduction of the borrowing methodology, Chinese borrowed words’cultural connotation particularly in commercial advertisements at the expense of a research on how the borrowed words affect modern life of the Chinese people.This paper to a great extent goes ahead to expound on this new area. The paper seeks to traverse quantitative analysis to investigate China’s globalization process, economic development and technological advancement from a linguistic perspective as denoted by Chinese language embodiment of borrowed words. Further, this paper looks into the continuing pattern of borrowed words in modern Chinese and submits a fundamental analysis thereby including casting a prognosis of the development of modern Chinese.
