From2008to2010, the Shaanxi Provincial Institute of Archaeology excavated a batch of Tang Dynasty Tombs in Han Jia Wan village, the southern suburbs of Xi’an. The number of the tombs increased to30,including8tombs with epitaphs. The main tombs of Han Jia Wan village are small and medium-sized. Although most of the tombs have been damaged in different degrees, the graves are clear, and a certain number of funerary objections are unearthed. These provide rich materials for the research on Tang Dynasty tombs.With the research of the previous people and the new archaeological materials, this article studied the typical funerary figurines, ceramics, and other aspects of the typology, trying to divide Han Jia Wan village Tombs into diferent periods.According to the evolution of graves,the features and groups of funerary objections, the Han Jia Wan village Tombs were initially divided into three periods:Taizong period is the first, Xuanzong period is the second and the third period is from Wenzong toXizong.At the same time, explore the burial level, burial custom and other related issues.
