As an important move to benefit the broad masses, the protectivedevelopment of the intangible cultural heritage (hereinafter referred to as ICH)product is designed to activate the ICH and also represents the core of ICH protection.New products which are readily marketable and efficiency-improving will not onlybring tangible benefits to the public but will also have great influence on local ICHprotection. In recent years, the study on the ICH among some college teams and socialgroups has become the order of the day. Many teams and groups have made somepositive results in assisting local ICH inheritor with cooperation renewals under theguidance of the national ICH protection strategy. That being said, some college teamsstill have to do more on the study of the ICH protection as they pay more attention toancient literatures rather than the objective demand of the masses for renewingproducts, while some are just busy with innovation with a view of curiosity andreceiving and duplicating or even copy mechanically in disregard of specificconditions affectedly, taking a toll on local people. The underlying cause for theseproblems is their superficial understanding of relevant theories and practices of theICH development with inappropriate stance, viewpoint and style of work.During the3years as a postgraduate, I have been involved with all aspects of theICH subject of Qingyang Perfume Bag protective development, and have made someachievements through the exchange way of "bringing in and going out" to change thelearning style and by humbly learning from the local ICH inheritor and sticking tocooperation renewals under the tutor’s direction, gaining the recognition of localleaders and peasant households. Given the issues arising from the ICH productdevelopment by the college team, I have reflected on ways for the college team,especially postgraduates to foster appropriate learning, research and work methodsbased on my practical experience in the study.Built on the study on the model jointly developed by the Qingyang inheritor andthe subject group over the past three years, this article, laying particular emphasis onmy own learning process and experience, is to probe into ways and strategies forcollege postgraduates to learn and participate in the ICH protective development withthe point of view of changing the learning style and cooperation renewals.
