In this thesis, author analyzed the screen images of American-Chinese reflectedin the genre of “American Chinese Movies” as a whole, from films collecting,transcripts drafting (both of the meaningful scenes, characters and actor’s lines), andcoding them according to “Frame Theory” for specific analysis. In this thesis, authorfirstly did a solid literature review updating the work that has been done so far-mostlyconcentrated in one movie or one director’s works-and then developed the survey foranalyzing the Media Images of American-Chinese represented in this kind of movie,including examining how people with an intercultural background and how aspects ofhybrid culture, values, and belief choices are presented through the movie screens,.Try to apply a new angle of view to the Intercultural Communication study.
