Recently, the economic globalization enlarges the international communication and cooperation. The demand of talents changes greatly, industries are left that different degree of professional post requirements put forward different English ability. So English ability becomes more and more important. With secondary vocational school students’ career development, good command of English language knowledge and skills plays an important role. The main teaching methods are still a chalk and a tape recorder. In this traditional class, English teaching lagged behind the modern teaching technology.Though the Direct Method was doomed with a short lift, it paved the way for the oral approach which led to the Situational Language Teaching. This approach began with the work of British applied linguists in the1920s. In the context of the conversational English for air services, by various means of modern information technology it shows some of the air services situations. The students enable to solve some real typical problems, in the model work environment and react. To contact, and complete the service task, process a large number of practical problems; shorten the distance between theory and practice. It is effective to make up the shortage from the practice of teaching. And enhance the students to adapt to the future creation job through the context of the practice to obtain indirect operating experience, and further require students to participate the analysis, discussion and evaluation, exercise and improve their practical communication skills. Create the conditions for more in-depth analysis of issues and solving problem of the students.This is an attempt to reform the traditional teaching methods. With effective design of teachers and cooperation with the students, situational teaching provide us approach to a useful teaching method which has the potential to a way of promoting student learning, enhance students’interest and enthusiasm of the effective teaching methods. While improving the traditional mode of teaching, so that we break away from a simple teacher-based teaching model. Students take the initiative, active learning. Not only have a certain knowledge of English, but improve students vocational skills and literacy. In recent years, in vocational schools the facilities and equipment are improving and perfect, so teachers have more teaching methods, and provides a solid foundation for based implementation of the subject. Based on the author’s teaching practice, this article suggests that the Situational Language Teaching can help the students improve oral English score, interest and initiative for study. What’s more, this teaching method can heighten the learning ability and cooperation spirit of the students.
