Of all the collected works of authors in Song dynasty, Shi Hao’s Mao Feng Zhen Yin Man Lu is comprised of the largest number of literary styles, in which the abundant cases of performance style, in particular, is worth studying and comparing from the angle of stylistic history. This paper first introduces the object of study and its research approach and status. Then it goes on in the four chapters.Chapter one talks about the author, compiling process and circulation of Mao Feng Zhen Yin Man Lu. It narrates the life of Shi Hao. Among all versions available, the best is Song Ji Zhen Ben Cong Kan.Chapter two deals with Mao Feng Zhen Yin Man Lu and Daqu in the Song Dynasty. It analyzes the content and structure of Song Dynasty Daqu, and compares Daqu and Qupo. Daqu and Qupo are both of the performance genres that are composed of instrumental, vocal music, and dancing, whilst Qupo focus more on dancing and can be regarded as using a rhythmic part of a Daqu performance, i.e., the part after it enters into Po. Of all the works of Shi Hao, what can be identified as Daqu, or more accurately, Qupo, is only "Cailian(Shouxiang Ci)".Chapter three studies Mao Feng Zhen Yin Man Lu and the Duiwu in the Song Dynasty. Shi Hao’s performance titles categorized into Daqu by Zhu Zumou, such as Lotus Gathering, Taiqing, Zhezhi, Flower, Sword and Yufu Dances, are actually lyrics of Duiwu, which merges monologue with vocal, instrumental music, and dances. It encompasses not only the performance elements of Daqu and Qupo, but also the performance style of Xilong and Jiaofangyueyu.Besides the aforementioned large-scale singing and dancing designed for royal palaces, Shi Hao also compiled Zhiyu Kouhao, Shangliangwen and Sazhangwen for common banquet purposes. Chapter four believes that these pieces of works not only prove that Shi Hao was very familiar with and skilled at folk performance styles, but they show how folk performance styles transitioned into professional writer’s literature, which is also phenomenal in Chinese literary history.
