It is a general term for Chinese particular cartoon, and itincludes cartoons, puppet films, paper-cut pieces and origami pieces. Art piece established aspecial historical period of Chinese cartoon animation. In the period, most of the short films arewith strong ethnic characteristics, and their production teams all are the older generation ofartists，and the famous arts and crafts masters. This shows that Chinese art piece originates fromtraditional folk art of China. The puppet film is as an important part of the art piece, and it alsohas a pivotal position in the history of Chinese art pieces.The article will be divided into five chapters to explain the project.The first chapter is a brief description of the Quanzhou puppet show. It will explainQuanzhou puppet show through its definition, background, modeling characteristics and storyfeatures. The second chapter is to analyze the status and characteristics of puppet class of artpieces. This chapter to analyze the types, the characteristics, and the strengths and weaknesses ofpuppet class of art pieces, to understand its actual position in the animation industry. The thirdchapter is a daring attempt to analyze the possibility of applying the Quanzhou puppet to the artpieces creation. The chapter will discuss the possibility by the expression of Quanzhou puppets,the features of using the Quanzhou puppet to the general art pieces creation, and the cost of it.The fourth chapter is the focus of this article, and it attempts to apply the Quanzhou puppet showto art pieces creation. This chapter will improve the Quanzhou puppets from the play scripts, themovements, the digital technology and other aspects. And it also will talk about the follow-updevelopment of applying the Quanzhou puppet as the role and model to the art pieces creation.
