Vocabulary has always been an important factor in the language,because the formation and improvement of any language skill must be based on the mastery of vocabulary. However, in teaching Chinese as a foreign language, the teaching of vocabulary has not been paid enough attention,leaving many issues to be solved."Piao translator Yanjie" is one of the still retained many versions of " Piao translator ",which consist of more complex dialogue and is as difficult as today’s senior using foreign language teaching materials. The current academic research on it is mainly concentrated on the phonetics and grammar, and there is no depth to the field of second language teaching especially vocabulary. To study the history of North Koreans learning classic Chinese Reader " Piao translator Yanjie ", this paper starts its research from the perspective of second language teaching and hopes to be benefit to the writing of foreign language teaching materials, especially the aspect of vocabulary.The thesis consists of five parts. The first part acts as the introduction, giving a brief account of the condition of Chinese education in North Korea, the research object of this thesis, the adopted edition, current research situation in recent years and the significance of this thesis. The second, third, fourth and fifth part comprise the body of this thesis. The second chapter makes an discussion of the compilation style of Piao translator Yanjie, generalizes the contents in the book from the topic angle and summarizes the compilation character of its selected materials, styles, pragmatics and so on.In the third chapter, I discuss the General parts of speech and Sayings class categories respectively, analysize the selection and arrangement of the General parts and the formation of Sayings class categories detailedly. Chapter four written vocabulary teaching materials to reflect the idea of a brief introduction, that is spoken idioms theoretical semantic field theory, context theory and the theory of lexical phrases. The fifth chapter analyses the shortcomings and problems of Piao translator Yanjie as a foreign language textbook vocabulary, such as the use of the standard spoken Chinese vocabulary on swearing language culture teaching in the inclusive attitude, focusing on the word comment. The end of this paper appendix the summarized table of general parts of speech in " Piao translator Yanjie" for reference.
