The Tang Dynasty witnessed a thriving chivalrous fashion and thus it made another climax of chivalry after the Warring States Period, Two Han Dynasties, Wei, Jin, and the Southern and Northern Dynasties. In this social climate, Swordsmen-praising poetry appeared in Tang Dynasty and became the most important part of the Tang Dynasty literary thought and Aesthetic Style,but it didn’t attract much attention for a long time. From the view of the poetic style, academic circles pay more attention to war poems,landscape poetry and history poetry than Swordsmen-praising poetry. So the research on Swordsmen-praising poetry is very important. We do a lot of reading about poems and study information,so we conduct some studys about Swordsmen-praising poetry as follows:The first part is intruduction,including concept,history and research situation about Swordsmen-praising poetry.In the second part,we do the research on the reason why the Swordsmen-praising poetry witnessed a thriving period in Tang Dynasty.Firstly,we analyze the affection form ruling class; Secondly, the studys about the affaction form the system of selection are conducted;Thirdly, we do researches on the affaction form foreign culture.The most important part is the third chapter. In this part, we do the following summarys:first,gratitude and the depressed feeling when life is down.Second, the eager for achievement and patriotism.Third,frivolous conduction and the eager for freedom.Last,harmful trends and social concern.The fourth part also is the important one.In this part, we pay more attention on the artistic characteristic.First, we analyze the portrayal of a person,including detail description and brief discription.Second,we analyze the Aesthetic Style,including the emphasise on herosim and the siprit of strength.In last part, we analyze the reason about the downs of Swordsmen-praising poetry in Tang Danasty. There are three points on the downs:First,from warmly tribute to common entertainment;Second, from achievement to enjoyment.Third, from ambition to depression.The reason, we obtain,is that the change of social climate and the inside of scholars.
