Li Yu is a famous writer, playwright and drama theorists in Ming andQing times, and he is not only a remarkable special person of the literaryscene in the late Ming and early Qing Dynasty, but also a significant figurewho has a significant impact on the history of Chinese opera stage. Since theearly20th century, many scholars at home and abroad had a wide range ofresearch and evaluation on Li Yu and his works. All along, there are somedisputes on the academic for the evaluation of Li Yu and his works. Li Yu’sdrama theory generally was given a great deal to praise, but for the opera play"Ten operas" appeared in the mixed assessment of the phenomenon.In this paper,"Research on Li Yu’s drama of opera” is such a large rangeof topics, I just selected a few of the most important and representativeaspects of the " Ten operas" to analyze and research, and focused on theirevaluations, thought content, artistic features and the history of Chinese operain four aspects of the status and contribution to the study. With regard to the"ten operas" analysis of the ideological content, this literature has been givento other related content will not repeat them, look forward to from a different,new perspective to more fully understand and appreciate Li Yu,"Ten operas"ideological content. In the analysis process, not only gives the positive factors,negative factors are also given.
