Memetics is a law based on the neo-Darwinian evolutionary theory to explaincultural evolution theory in recent years which is a new emerging theory inPragmatics. This paper discusses the meme assimilation, retention, expression,transmission. In Chinese vocabulary, quasi-affixes are very productive to produce newwords. In teaching Chinese as the second language, integrate meme’s four phraseswith quasi-affixes teaching. After analyzing meme horizontally and vertically, discussthe quasi-affix how to generate and transmit as a strong meme to enrich Chineseteaching and foreign students’ vocabularies.The paper is divided into five chapters.The first chapter is introduction. Introduce the object, analysis some researchrelated with this paper, introduce the value and significance of this paper and theresearch ideas and methods.Chapter II introduces meme. Horizontally, explain meme four phrases:assimilation, retention, expression, transmission and conclude the mode of memetransmission and its elements. The meme transmission channels expand and thereceiver become more and more initiative. Vertically, introduce the quasi-affixescategories according to memes and explain how a original meme become a strong,stable and successful meme.The third chapter analyzes the system of quasi-affixes transmission and thereason. State the process of quasi-affixes’ self-copy and transmission and give thereason of quasi-affix widely used: language economical principle, analogy, influenceand parodic word widely use.Chapter IV make a survey of junior, senior and high foreign students respectivelyto check their command of quasi-affix and the result of quasi-affix teaching undermeme theory. And conclude some methods in quasi-affix teaching.Chapter V is conclusion. It concludes the paper and point out the shortage andthe research in the future.
