Republican period,(1912-1949),is a special historical period in Chinesesociety."Western Learning" Sino-foreign thought collision blends, social unrest, Warfrequent, dark politics, people are in terror and extreme misery. In this bloody era, theNew Print which introduced and initiated by Lu Xun emerged, ushered a new era ofcreated Engraving in China. New print was baptized by proletarian art idea since itwas produced. It was closely connected with Chinese social revolution, supportrevolution, publicizes revolution and criticizes realistic, sympathy working people,performance poor, so it has the distinct revolutionary realism characteristics. It playsan important role for victory of Chinese revolution as China’s revolutionary Pioneertool. Become Chinese people public art and Gained popularity. With contemporaryprintmaking increasingly excellent and professional, it also appears to be difficult topopularize and marginalization problems.
