Chen Guofu Presided Over Jiangsu Research (october 1933 - November 1937)

Chen Guo-fu, also known as Chen Zu-ao. He was born in DongLin District, WuXing town, Zhejiang Province on October27,1892. He was admitted to study in the Zhejiang Army primary school of in1907. During March of1911he joined in the Alliance. And he had participated in the1911Republican revolution and the second revolution. In1918, he was engaged in securities trading activities with Chiang Kai-shek, Zhang Jingjiang and Da Jitao in Shanghai. He took charge of the Mao-Xing company as the manager. After the Kuomintang’s second largest party, he began to deal with the party management in1926. During1927, Chen participated in "4·12" counter-revolutionary coup and the party purge.After the foundation of the Nanjing national government, he was set to many multiple roles in the central part, and took charge of the Kuomintang party with his younger brother Chen Li-fu, and the formation is called the "CC" Group. There was a saying, the country belongs to family Jiang, but the Party belongs to family Chen. October1933, he was relocated to Jiangsu province as the chairman by Chiang Kai-shek, and he ruled Jiangsu four years. November1937, he was retired.From October,1933to November,1937was called "the period Chen Guofu takes charge of Jiangsu". After Chen Guofu took office, immediately, he put forward a series of new ideas of building a better Jiangsu, and proceed with the reform of each respect. As the political implementation of examination system of county, the reform of the administrative supervision commissioner system, the pre-war of merging office to improve administrative efficiency; in economy aspect, he tried to revive of rural economy in Jiangsu. Develop the local bank in Jiangsu province, built the agricultural warehouse, advocated cooperation movement; in water conservancy construction, he built the project on Liutang River, and the project to guide Huaihe Rive to the see; in culture and education, he developed the school education and social education, he was also the founder of Jiangsu Medical College.
