A Project Report On The C-E Translation Of The Environment Part Of Jiangsu Province Yearbook 2017

This is a Chinese-English translation project report on Jiangsu Province Yearbook 2017,of which the environment part is selected as the source text.Jiangsu Province Yearbook 2017 gives a comprehensive and systematic introduction to the achievements that Jiangsu Province had made in politics,economy,culture and ecological civilization as well as other fields in 2016.It serves as a window for people to know about Jiangsu.As the exchanges and mutual learning between Jiangsu Province and foreign countries and regions become increasingly frequent,the translation work of Jiangsu Province Yearbook 2017 becomes more and more important.The project report is divided into four chapters.Chapter One is an overview of the project survey,including project background and significance as well as the whole process of translation.It also describes the lexical,syntactical and stylistic features of the original text and introduces the guiding theory of the report.Chapter Two discusses the major issues and difficulties the author confronts when translating as well as the main causes behind them and summarizes the difficulties in translating words,sentences and text and in analyzing the main causes.Chapter Three,an analysis of solutions,focuses on feasible solutions to major difficulties and issues in translation.Finally,the author gives a summary and reflection about the report.This report reveals that the translation of the yearbook is an activity of global communication.Therefore,the author must ensure the accuracy of the translation which conforms to the reading habits of the target readers.
